Types of programs
APUNE programs share the objective of promoting quality studies in Spanish for students that participate in their study abroad programs in Spain. Member programs are evaluated every 7 years in an ongoing process to renew areas and reinforce positive aspects of their activities.
Programs in the Association represent accredited North American Colleges and Universities which offer undergraduate and graduate students the opportunity to study abroad for a summer, semester or full academic year. Classes offered include Spanish language and literature, as well as History, International Relations, Economics, Business, Art History, Sociology, Anthropology, Latin American and European Studies.
There are three types of programs
ISLAND Programs
Programs that are independent, offering courses only for their own students.
MIXED Programs
Programs based in Spanish Universities which offer courses only for their own students with the possibility of taking Spanish University courses.
DIRECT ENROLLMENT Programs
Programs where the students register directly in regular Spanish University courses.
